Make a WAV copy for your session

An existing WAV source appears as a source download instead of a redundant WAV conversion. The result label tells you which case applies. Downloading a song does not supply separate vocal, drum or instrumental tracks.

1. Open the public song page and copy its complete share address.
2. Resolve the link and check the title and preview against the version you intend to use.
3. Keep the source file if you want an untouched reference, then choose WAV when offered as a conversion.
4. Wait for preparation to complete and save the WAV before the temporary download expires.
5. Import the file into your editor, inspect its properties and listen to it before building a session around it.

Read the properties instead of assuming them

Converted WAV output uses 16-bit PCM. The converter does not force a particular sample rate or channel count; these depend on the input and the conversion process. Check the downloaded file in your editor if a project requires a specific sample rate.

For perspective, uncompressed stereo 16-bit audio at 44.1 kHz takes about 10.6 decimal MB per minute. At 48 kHz it takes about 11.5 MB per minute. These are arithmetic examples, not guaranteed output settings. A WAV can be much larger than an M4A while carrying no newly recovered source detail.

Bring the file into an editor deliberately

Create a project folder with separate source and working-copy locations. Keep a text note with the public song URL and the creator's details. If the lyrics are useful for marking song sections, download the public TXT separately and verify it against the audio.

After import, check the start and end of the recording and confirm that the editor has not changed playback speed. If the editor offers a project conversion, follow its own documented settings. Choose the final delivery format for your destination rather than making several unnecessary intermediate lossy exports.

A converted WAV can be a convenient working file, but it is not evidence that a platform's native WAV export or other account-only production tools were accessed. For your own song, check the platform's authorized export options when you need a different original deliverable.

Allow room for a larger file

Both source and converted files must fit the 200 MB limit. A source that is small enough to download can still produce a WAV that is too large. The service rejects reported durations above ten minutes and processes at most ten minutes during conversion.

Only one conversion can run at a time. If the converter is busy, wait and retry; if the result expires, resolve the song again. A ten-minute result session is a temporary transfer window, so download promptly and keep your completed file locally.
